I’m Still Learning will be closing its doors on 30 November 2024.
We will continue to run all pre-booked programs up until this date.
This decision has not been an easy one.
Unfortunately, we are not in a position to pay someone to complete the many tasks required to ensure I’m Still Learning runs efficiently.
The Board has worked tirelessly to come up with solutions to meet our goal of being accessible to all. In eight years we have assisted more than 1000 people in our courses and are very proud of all we have achieved.
Thank you to everyone who has been a part of our community.
I'm Still Learning was founded in 2017 by Mandy Gosetti after facing the loss of her husband to cancer. It was only after his passing that Mandy realised both how many odd-jobs he did around their home to maintain it, and how little she knew about maintaining it herself. This discovery was Mandy's inspiration to start I'm Still Leaning.
Today, we are Melbourne-based not-for-profit that is passionate about empowering people with the skills and knowledge they need to manage their own home and car maintenance projects. Through our workshops run across Melbourne, we aim to educate and empower people by teaching skills that will last a lifetime.
Leaking taps always dripping? DIY projects being left undone due to lack knowledge on how to start? We've got you covered! Through our BHM 101 and BHM102 courses, you'll learn how to use power tools, replace broken tiles, change tap washers and so much more!
A little maintenance can go a long way when it comes to our vehicles. Our Basic Car Maintenance course is a single day, 6 hour workshop that will teach you all the basics you need, including checking fluids, changing tyres and understanding your cars manual.
Not only do we want to foster new skills, but we also strive to foster a supportive and caring I'm Still Learning community! Our Alumni events aim to create connection and friendships between our like-minded learners, and are open to all past workshop participants.
"The course was very well organised. Course outline was very informative. Knew exactly what was going to be presented weekly. Course notes were great to look back on and reread. The presents were professional, patient and helpful."
"I have learnt so much as I am a single mother and really wanted to remain independent. I would definitely recommend this course to others."
"As women we should all learn and put into practice what we have learned today. It was the best car maintenance course I have attended. Thank you."
"This is a great initiative, everyone learns new things, meets new people and immerses themselves in the hands on education provided."
Whether you're looking for a young first-time car owner or an older family member looking for something new to learn, our course vouchers make the perfect gift!
