The course involves four, 2-hour 'Basic Home Maintenance' sessions facilitated by experienced and knowledgeable instructors using props which are similar to real life experiences.
Our Basic Home Maintenance 101 is a 4 week hands on course which covers:
- Week 1: Safety in the home
- Week 2: How to repair a leaking tap
- Week 3: How to safely use a battery operated drill
- Week 4: Using a battery operated drill to build a take home toolbox

- Week 1: How to replace a broken tile
- Week 2: How to repair a hole in the wall (1)
- Week 3: How to repair a hole in the wall (2)
- Week 4: Preparation and painting

Sponsored Basic Home Maintenance Programs
Sometimes I'm Still Learning is lucky enough to obtain sponsorship for our programs. This may come through private or Government organisations.
These sponsored programs entitle select participants to a free or discounted course. There are conditions to these sponsored places.
At present, we have two Basic Home Maintenance courses which have been supported through Brimbank and Maribyrnong Council Grant Funds. You must be a resident of the relevant Council area to qualify for a position.
$25 (Full and Concession) refundable deposit subject to Terms and Conditions see below.
